Apple v. Apple

Is Apple competing with itself?

Apple v. Apple

Technology. It is what our entire generation revolves around. The evolution of technology has paved the way for the genius that is Apple Inc.

Since the founding of Apple in 1976, our generation has seen the beginning of the cell phone revolution. With the release of the first-generation iPod, we waited in line for hours to be one of the first to put our hands on the “latest and greatest” from Apple.

Since then, Apple has released an entire series of these products. We have now created an Apple family with our iPhones, iPods, iPads, MacBooks and even sometimes the Desktop computer from Apple.

Right now, it seems as though the innovation is never ending. It seems as though the second you buy the “newest” product out there, Apple releases a statement saying that in a few short months they will be releasing something else.

With the multitude of products to choose from, in a way Apple is competing with itself.

Apple recently revealed the new iPhone 6S, allowing for those with a love of color to apply that to their phone selection. With the release of the iPhone 6, and the iPhone 6 Plus, iPad sales have begun to dwindle. This downward slope in sales of the iPad can be accredited to the increasing size of smart phone screens.

Apple CEO, Tim Cook, is quoted saying, “The number of people who say they want to buy an iPad and haven’t is still rather large.”

Despite the inner battle of Apple v. Apple products, something big is coming… AGAIN.

The “iPad Pro” (the name is has yet to be confirmed) will hopefully be the solution to all of the problems. The device will be between the iPad and a Mac, in the hopes of allowing Apple to fully capitalize in the corporate world.

“Only 29 percent of corporations have at least one Mac in their offices," according to Spiceworks, an online network of IT professionals.

This new iPad is rumored to have a 13” screen, and if used with a stylus, the device will open up new doors for Apple in the business world. The device will have to compete with the Microsoft Surface.

While the iPhone is currently the best-selling product, the new “iPad Pro” might just be what it takes to make iPad’s number one… let's just hope we can all keep up.

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

To The Cheerful Person On Their Rainy Days, You Are Valid

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.
