Hunting for your first apartment is a scary experience. You long for the freedom to be out on your own but being an actual adult is still scary and new to you. There are so many new words, big numbers, and research that has to be done. Add all of these new concepts to the fact that you're in your twenties, clueless, and probably not very financially stable and you get... This list.

1. You find the perfect apartment... But it's $500+ out of your price range.


2. You find an apartment listed at WAY lower than your price range... But with no pictures listed.

3. When your mom (or any older adult) tells you to start "calling around" or contacting apartment complexes via telephone.

4. When the rent is reasonable AND there's a pool

5. ...But there's an age restriction on who can rent the property

6. In the end, you keep searching and remain hopeful, because you know when you do find it...
