I don't know about everyone else, but I'm super excited to have an apartment next semester. I've been on the look out for super cool and cheap finds. I love anything DIY, Pinterest and country chic!
My work, Beekeeper's Cottage, has these great lath boxes ranging in various lengths made by the Amish and I'm totally in love with them! I plan on using the box with some of our petite jars to put silverware in. If you don't have a lot of space in your kitchen then this gives great storage for your silverware, or even napkins!
You could use mason jars or hobnail jars with handles on them, too, which I'm going to use to add texture.
Next is what my roommate and I plan on using in our bathroom on top of the toilet seat to store our toilet paper. The lath box which is $16 fits perfectly with the candle, which I got at the shop for $5. It couldn't have been a better buy! There's also a little flower ring around the candle, which was only $6 that added the perfect amount of color and warmth.
Another option for the bathroom is putting toothbrushes in one of the jars and cotton balls in the other. It keeps everything nice and neat for me, which really appeals to my taste! The jars are only $9 each, so I can't argue with that!
I also found a great rustic soap dispenser, which will go perfectly in my bathroom. It pairs well with our tea towels, which are $20 for two large ones (there's Tiffany designed ones, which I adore).
Lastly, is for those 21 and older! This super cute wine bottle and glass holder was only $15! I think it's very inventive and is going to look great in our apartment. I know my older sorority sisters are going to want this when they turn 21.When shopping for your apartment, always try and look for decor in antique shops or even stores like the one I work at. You never know what cute things you will find that fit in your budget and match your style.
Happy shopping!
