It's nearing the end of this fall semester, and for most of us that means tons of projects, papers, and exams. For some of y'all, it means that you are finishing your first semester of your freshman year, and for some it might be your last fall semester as you look forward to graduation. For the sophomores and the juniors, it is just a stepping stone; you are one semester closer than you were at the beginning to starting your career. With all that being said:

DO NOT procrastinate.

DO NOT sleep less.

DO have a good time.

DO get your work done.

Even though you might think it's going to get better, most likely the case is, you will realize the amount of work you have to get done in the next month before exams. You will then wonder how exactly you are supposed to get everything done (and turned in on time.) But, some way you will do it. You will get everything turned in on time, and sometimes even early. Don't forget where you came from, and never forget that God puts you through stress and trials only to make you stronger on the other side. Once you make it through this semester, you are that much closer to a life outside of college.

Don't worry so much about everything, God would never give you more than He knows that you could do. It says in Luke 1:37 - For with God, nothing shall be impossible. So there it is, directly stated from the Bible. With God, our Savior, nothing we try to do will be impossible. Which means, even in stressful times, we should rely on God, and He will get us through it. When we are having quiet time with God and remaining in prayer, we will see a change in how our life begins to look up and prosper. Below are some Bible verses that might help you as the end of the semester draws closer everyday.

- 2 Corinthians 12:10 "When you've done all that you can do, that's when God will step in and do what you can't do."

- Proverbs 3:6 "Seek God's will in all that you do and He will direct your path."

- Matthew 6:34 "Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring enough worries on its own."

These are just a few verses that I read on a daily basis to help me get through the day. It reminds me that with God, anything I put my mind to, I can do and I can succeed while doing it. Finish the semester strong everyone! Remember, pray and don't worry about tomorrow, just focus on today.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
