No one said it would be easy
But it can be done.
In a world where just chaos and guns
Seem to shine in the news more than the morning sun
Blazing a trail of hurt and pain
Leading to more sadness and more disdain

We cry out; where are you God
Why did you leave me? Did you ever shed a tear?
But he's looking us in the eyes, and he says,
I'm right here.
Stop child, stop your tears.
I died for you, so cast away your fears.

No one said it would be easy
But it can be done.
You see God's love is as consistent as the morning sun will come.
Never skipping a day, never expressing regret,
Never complaining that some people tend to forget how unasked it is.
To light up the Earth. Day after day, and even when it goes away
And the moon and the stars take over the sky
'Cuz even on a cloudy day they still shine.
No- you can't see them, so it's easy to forget
But hold onto his promise.
It's not over, not yet.

But your heart beats, it races and it flies,
Out of your chest and into the sky
Filled with black holes ready to swallow
Your hopes and beliefs and all that follows
Slow down.
Take a breath.
As you rest the darkness begins to fester and caress all that you fear
But remember. He's looking us in the eyes, and he says,
I'm right here.

Do you see the stars in the sky? They're beautiful right?
I made them with the same hands I made your eyes.
Do you see the moon hanging perfectly tonight?
I made it with the same hands that created that bump on your nose you do not like.
But believe me, it's beautiful right?
Do you see this whole Earth?
Every detail precise one of my finest works,
The only thing that could compare is each stand of your individual hair,
And every curve and line I put on your body.
These hands do not make mistakes.
You forget that I'm perfect, and that you are fearfully and wonderfully made.

No one said it would be easy,
But it can be done.
So trust in me child, this battle can be won.
Hold fast to me, hold tight with care.
Let go and try to survive that's a dare.
I can make you invincible.
Nothing you touch, nothing thrown your way will be able to puncture
The armor I will wrap around you my dear.
I'm looking at you, and I'm telling you,
I'm right here.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
