All around the world, fans of Anton Yelchin, beloved young actor known for his effervescent performances as Pavel Chekov in the reboot films of Star Trek, are mourning the sudden and tragic end of the 27-year-old's life in a car accident. Yelchin was best known as a film actor, but was also a gifted voice actor and musician, a member of The Hammerheads before they disbanded.


While the loss is devastating to many of his fans, they still have some more moments to look forward to sharing with Yelchin. The vastly talented young actor will appear in upcoming films We Don't Belong Here, Star Trek Beyond, Porto, and Thoroughbred.

During his life, Yelchin stole the hearts of many, not only as the energetic and bashful Chekov, but also as a modern millennial sweetheart in roles like Jacob Helm in Like Crazy, making viewers wish they were in a whimsical long distance romance with a furniture designer of their own.

Yelchin was also an accomplished voice actor, notably voicing the adorable Clumsy Smurf in The Smurfs and The Smurfs 2, a character treasured by many young children.

Anton Yelchin's well-rounded career was highlighted by many precious moments as well as the sheer skill he possessed for acting. While his life was cut short, he will surely be remembered as one of this generation's finest performers. Rest in peace.
