What To Expect From Your Future Wife Who Is Chasing Hard After The Lord.

Two Bright Lights

Dear Future Husband,

I am unsure if the Lord has brought you across my path or not, but I know His timing for us will be perfect. Although, there are a few things I want you to know. One thing I have noticed is that social media and the internet is filled with all these expectations us women have for you as men, but very rarely do we express what you can expect from us as women pursuing Christ. Therefore, I want you to know a few of the many things you can expect from me.

You need to expect that you will not be the first and most important man in my life. And honestly, I don't want to be the most important person in your life because in order to have a healthy, godly relationship, God needs to be the person we put first in our lives. By putting God first I will be able to love and respect you as I am called to do. When we adequately pursue God together we will grow closer together as one.

You need to expect respect. Know that as a woman after God's heart I am called to respect you and your decisions.

You will be appreciated. A lot of times women like to have these expectations for ways that they can feel appreciated by their man, but know that as much as I want to be appreciated, you will be appreciated as well.

You can expect grace. None of us are perfect and I am far from it, but because of God’s grace in my life I can give grace to those I love. So days you feel like you’ve failed, just know there is grace.

You will be prayed for. I am praying for you now and never will stop.

You can expect a best friend. I will want to be there for the good days and the bad. I will be your best friend. You can expect encouragement and support from me on a daily basis.

Lastly, I want you to know that I am already thanking God for you daily and will continue to do so until the Lord calls us home someday! I want to thank you ahead of time for being a man after God’s heart.

Love,

Your Future Wife

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

too tired to care

We've all been there. From move-in day to the first finals week in college, your first term is an adventure from start to finish. In honor of college decisions coming out recently, I want to recap some of the most common experiences college freshmen experience.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!

Dear High School Friend Group,

My sweet angels, where would I be without you guys. We all grew up together because we either met in middle school or high school and watched each other grow up and get "old." We got to go to prom together and then graduate together. Then watched each other as we continued our lives in college, joining sororities and meeting people who will impact our lives forever. It all has happened so fast.
