I used to think annual passes to Disney World were only made for people who were obsessed with every Disney movie, song, character, ride, and story. When I came to college, I realized these passes weren't just made for Disney's biggest aficionados. With my university conveniently located about an hour away from Disney, I realized many people purchased an annual pass so that they could go whenever they wanted and for additional benefits as well. If you're thinking of purchasing an annual pass now or in the future, here is a list of reasons why it may be worth it.

1. Discounts

If you are a pass holder, you can get discounts on hotels, merchandise, restaurants, spas, events, entertainment, sports and recreation. Discounts typically range from 10-20% off depending on where you go in each park or hotel. These discounts also apply at certain stores and restaurants in Disney Springs!

2. Park Costs

Typically one ticket to the Magic Kingdom costs around $110, plus you have to factor in parking on top of that. If you have an annual pass and visit the Magic Kingdom three or four times you will already get your money's worth out of your annual pass. You can also go to as many parks as you would like each day!

3. For Free

With an annual pass, you will always get free parking which helps a lot since parking costs about $20 per visit. Depending on which annual pass package you purchase, you will also receive free photo downloads. I love this feature because Disney cameras take really high quality photos, so if you ever want a nice group picture, a picture with a character or any pictures taken of you on rides, you can easily download them for free.

Friendship. It's defined as the state of being attached to another person by feelings of affection or personal regard, but what really is friendship? Is it that occasional hallway talk with that one person who always manages to cheer you up? Is it that relationship you have with someone where they can be gone for a long period of time, but when they come back, it's like they never left? Is it spending every waking hour with someone, and knowing every detail about their life? Is it the relationship that's filled with fighting, but filled with even more resolution? I've learned that it's all of these things, and every friendship is different. It's a beautifully dysfunctional mess that should always be cherished and never be taken for granted.
