They're better than people.

Y'all ever heard the saying "Animals are better than people"?. It is 100 percent true. You need them in so many ways you didn't even know you needed them. They're one God's greatest creations. The bond that can form with any animal, not just a dog or cat can be very special.

I want to take a few to brag on one my dogs. There is one dog in particular, my Wyatt, who I had for most of my life who had my heart. My German Shepherd who I loved with all my heart and soul. We had a bond that could not be broken. He was my best friend. He passed away back in 2017 and I wear him on my necklace with pride. Animals can get you through some things that you didn't even know you needed them for.

I went to the shelter as a kid and I put my hands in the cage of Pickles the German Shepherd, who later became my Wyatt. We took him home and the first room he wanted to go into was mine and that was his favorite place in the whole world. He wore his collar with pride and acted as my lap dog, all 100-120 pounds of him. We had a bond like no other. I held him as he took his last breath at around 11-12 years old. His pawprint and collar stay hanging in my room as a reminder. Some nights I look back and reminiscence on how amazing he was and how much of a good dog he was.

Moral of the story, if you don't have an animal, then you definitely need one when you are able to take care of him or her. If you do have animals, snuggle them tight and appreciate them. Animals make the world go round. This is why working at a vet clinic is so rewarding despite the hardships that can fall with it. I have a deeper appreciation for animals at my job and I hope that each and every one of you can have or find animals that you love and have a special bond with.

It is so worth it.

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
