There is a new shot being served at restaurants and bars but it doesn't contain alcohol. This is something that should be implemented all over and should be encouraged. This shot is to notify your server that you are in need of some help because you don't feel comfortable with the person you are with.

Whether it be while on a blind date or someone from online who isn't who they said they were. This is a campaign to protect females and males from sexual violence and abuse. There has been other tactics like asking for someone from code word like asking for Angela, Rachelle or Jennifer at the bar when something just doesn't feel right.

You can ask for the shot in three different ways to show the seriousness of the situation. Code words so that they can make sure you are safe and nothing goes wrong.

Ordering the shot Neat: You will have someone escort you to your car

Ordering with Ice: The bartender will call you a taxi, Uber or Lyft to make sure you get home safely.

Ordering with a Lime: The bartender will call the police without any question.

This is important to remember just in case you are ever in a situation if you or you and a group of friends need help. This will help a lot of people stay out of danger and give people the opportunity to not be scared of reaching out and it back firing on them.

Dating apps and online interaction has increased over the years and it's hard to know when someone you've never met is telling the truth. The sexual violence and abuse rates keep increasing so the angel shot is something we can use to not also spread awareness but give those people who need help the most to be able to access it.

People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.
