Why 22-year-old Andrew Koz, one of uSC's most successful Young entrepreneurs, is the next big thing
Instagram

Andrew Kozlovski, self-made social media sensation, started the business of selling Brainz Power, a nootropic supplement, at just 19 years old. He has amassed over 135,000 followers on Instagram, including Instagram superstars such as Prince Ea and B Simone, through strategic marketing and by being mentioned twice on the Forbes' List and in the Los Angeles Business Journal(LABJ).

During his freshman year, Andrew noticed that students all around him were indulging in addictive medications like Adderall to "enhance their focus and mitigate symptoms of ADHD". After doing enough research, he realized that students who abused Adderall were addicted to its amphetamine, a highly addictive substance that is used to treat ADHD.

Andrew says in order to provide students a safer product that assisted with "cognitive focus, mental health, and stress relief," he needed to travel to labs across the country in order to ensure that the chemists who created Brainz included ingredients that would help students "focus and stay attentive throughout their college education." - Andrew Kozlovski

Although the fact that this college student was making $6,000-$10,000 a month during the early stages of his business is impressive enough, the obstacles he had to overcome are even more shocking. Not only was he paying USC's expensive tuition on his own, but he moved out to Los Angeles without the full support of his immigrant parents. Despite the fact that he was single-handedly marketing his business through social media, starting up a motivational youtube channel and trying to gain press with Forbes and LABJ, he still strove to maintain above a 3.5 GPA and kept in shape by working out for about an hour every day.

In his most recent youtube video, "Summer's are when I separated myself from everyone (SUCCESS STRATEGY)", he reveals how he uses his summers to get ahead in business, school, and sports. Kozlovzki tells his subscribers that while his friends are busy tanning and traveling during their vacations, he's at school, putting in 15 hour work days. By posting videos like these, and many more, in which he shares his daily routine, offers advice on how to start a business with only $500, and instructs rising business students on how to gain press with huge publications, Koz continues to further motivate upcoming college students who already look up to him.

Although his business is currently making significantly more than $10,000 a month, in a recent interview I had with Koz, he shared that he is currently "trying to distribute Brainz to major chains like Whole Foods, Walmart, Target, etc". Koz predicts that in addition to growing his Instagram and Youtube channel, he will turn Brainz into "a multi-million dollar business in the next 12 months". Do you believe him? I certainly do.

To keep up with the hardworking and inspirational Andrew Kozlovski, you can add him on all of his socials.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Everybody gets sick once in a while, but getting sick while in college is the absolute worst. You're away from home and your mom who can take care of you and all you really want to do is just be in your own bed. You feel like you will have never-ending classwork to catch up on if you miss class, so you end up going sick and then it just takes longer to get better. Being sick in college is really tough and definitely not a fun experience. Here are the 15 stages that everyone ends up going through when they are sick at college.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
