I've been in Europe for 2 weeks now. I still have 2 more weeks to go. This adventure has been the most unforgettable experience ever.

Last week, I wrote and article about my first week in Europe:

Here are my newest adventures.

Black Forrest, Germany

After Amsterdam, we went to Germany. We stayed the night in Frankfurt, but were only there for maybe 15-hours. On our way to Switzerland, we stopped in the Black Forrest which is famous for being the inspiration of fairy tales. We learned about cuckoo clocks and how they're made. It was beautiful and magical.

Switzerland

The phrase "I'm Switzerland" makes so much more sense now. Switzerland is a very small country with a lot of rules. It's very hard for non-natives to be able to live in Switzerland. They use they're own currency called Swiss Franks, instead of Euros like the majority of Europe. Everything is also very expensive. $25 for a simple burger and fries, $5-$10 for bottled water.

We went to Mount Pilatus in the Swiss Alpa and it was incredible. I could have stayed there forever. The higher we got, the more incredible it was. Eventually we were at almost 7,000 feet up. On the mountain there are several trails to follow around to look at the view. I decided to go off the beaten path and climb up some rocks to see an even better view.

I sat there dangling my feet on the edge of the mountain and it was incredible. We were above the clouds and could see for miles. I didn't want to leave.

Verona

I fan-girled when I saw Juliet's house and her statue. It reminded me of the movie Letter's to Juliet and it made it even more magical. There's a statue of Juliet there and apparently it's good luck to rub her boob..so of course, we all did it.

Venice

I didn't know Venice is an island until I found out we had to take a boat to get to the city. When we were there we went on a Gondola ride, in the rain. By the end of it we were all soaking wet but it was an awesome experience.

The city is beautiful with so much culture, and everywhere is filled with cute little shops and narrow streets.

Our hotel was right on the beach on the main land. We spent one of the nights there walking about and down the beach. There were piers going into the ocean everywhere. It was also almost a full moon so it was incredible to sit on the beach and look at the moon glistening off the water.

Rome

Rome makes me happy. Everyone here is so happy all the time. Our first night here, a couple of the girls and I decided to venture away from our group and go on a pub crawl. We had to take a metro* and the stop we got off at was the Collesium. We were in ah.

We went to 5 different pubs and it was so much fun meeting people from all over the world. I had a blast. Everyone who lives in Rome seem to just love Rome and love this country. I adore this.

Bright and early the next day was a pasta making class. It has inspired me to want to learn to cook, and maybe even make my own pasta. I had such an amazing time learning from our instructor all about the culture in Italy.

I'm on day 17 now, and still have 13 more to go. Florence, South France, and Spain are next.

*I've learned how to "subway" now so I think I can survive anything.

April Ludgate

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

To The Cheerful Person On Their Rainy Days, You Are Valid

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.
