The single thing that lets me rest at night is that I know you'll search for me in every other person. You'll search for eyes as green as mine. You'll search for a smile so genuine and perfect enough that it makes you happy. You'll look deeply into the soul of everyone you meet for someone to care about you as much as I once did. You'll look even harder when you realize none of them will ever be like me. And when you see me in a coffee shop one day with someone who does love me, you'll look inside of yourself for the courage to say hello. But you won't have it. You didn't even have the courage to give me a proper goodbye. And when you finally realize you lost me - you'll search for someone new - But that someone will never be me.
