Tuesday night, or should I say Wednesday morning’s results were nothing less than shocking. Throughout the entire campaign, never did I think that this would be the outcome. Take a deep breath, hug your neighbor, and try to stay calm the best you possibly can. As much as people would like to say otherwise, the majority of President-elect supporters were influenced by his portrayal in the media. Whether that be by a funny meme or a misinterpreted article, at least half of his supporters were swayed by these messages.

There is nothing more we can do to change the outcome. I know many of us are scared and worried about our rights being taken away, I am with you. Although, we have to have at least a shred of hope that it will not be as bad as we think. We as a nation need to come together and hope that he treats us right. Hope that no one here gets hurt by any of his or his vice president's policies.

Stand up and let your voice be heard. Let the world know how you feel. Unfortunate for some, this will be our lives for the next four years and we need to come to understand and accept this. Have faith in Obama that he will help Trump in becoming our next leader. Have faith that Melania will be a role model to all the little girls out there. Most especially, have faith that this country will grow strong.

As I do agree that love trumps hate, protesting about it will do nothing more than start more fights. Trump has done many hateful things, the media made sure to yell it to world. These things he has done deserves to be heard. This is part of the reason why Hillary Clinton actually won the popular vote. The people elected Clinton, but the system elected Trump. People need to understand what we are dealing with so we can proceed with caution. Thankfully, Trump has begun to repeal a few of his policies he promised during his campaign. Hopefully, he will start handling his job will less hatred and more poise, like President Obama did.

Do I support Trump's views and policies? No. Do I support his vice president's views and policies? No. But the one thing I will do it hope that he becomes the man that the system elected him to be. All we can do now is hope that he will calm down, and become a more friendly face like Obama has to the rest of the country. Stay strong, friends.

In case you're unaware, "resting bitch face" is the term used to describe when a person's natural, expressionless face makes it look like they are mad at the world. Whether they are walking down the street or simply spacing out thinking about what to eat for dinner, it's very easy for others to assume that this person is either upset or mad at them. Because of this, those of us with Resting Bitch Face (RBF), and especially us women, have all experienced many of the same situations and conversations, including:

We've all had a crush before. Whether it leads to something or nothing, the process has all been the same. The awkward feelings, the stalking, and the stress of trying to keep this huge secret. The feeling of becoming a total spazz is something that cannot be avoided, and the most spazzy family that can relate to this feeling is the Belcher's.

At the tender age of 18, we are bestowed with the title of “adult.” For 17 years, we live under the rules and guidelines of our parents, school, and government, and to stray from any of those rules or guidelines marks us as a rebel. At 18, though, we must choose which college we want to go to or what career we want. We are allowed and encouraged to vote. We can buy lottery tickets and cigarettes. We can drop out of school, leave our household, and do other "adult" things. At 18, we start down a path of thinking for ourselves, when for the entirety of our lives other institutions have been mandated to think and do for us.

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.
