Please start using your pen and writing down the order. I don't know if you're trying to impress your customers by memorizing my order, but you don't have to do that. I'm impressed with you no matter what. You are the oh-so delicate link between me and food. Memorization of the order doesn’t get you a bigger tip, it just makes me madder if you get my order wrong. In fact, my most amazing waiters/waitresses have been pen-users. They bring me my food exactly as I ordered it, ten times out of ten, how amazing.
