Dear Winter,
Look, I know in the past few years, I have been a little rude to you. I always called you cold and never wanted to see you on my campus, but I miss you. Please come back and give us a snow storm. The rain can wait for springtime. Trust me, Spring will get jealous and be too played out. I understand that the potential of the EPA and other environmental agencies might be ruined in America, but we can get through this. Save your raindrop tears for later, you are stronger than that. I will even bargain with you. If you cool down just for a few days, I will drive less and use less plastic. I promise I will not litter or forget to recycle. I know since I switched my major from Environmental Science times were rough, but I promise you I am still fighting for your rights, not as a guy in the lab, but as an officer of the laws of nature at the parks. I know I am not the only one to apologize for our cold attitudes and treating you like a garbage can, but maybe one day, you will get a billion more letters and more promises of change.
Yours Truly,
Colin
P.S. We need to all reduce our carbon output. Our poor usage of fossil fuels and horrible practices of improperly wasting effects everyone in the end. This winter has been far warmer than in years past. The reason is our emissions deteriorating the ozone while destroying habitats though developments, pollution, and overall destructive practices we use on our one and only Earth. Efforts have been made to right the errors of the past, but we need to keep on developing renewable energy and reusing materials in order to have to harvest less from nature than the ecosystem can put out. Save the planet not for just you, but future generations to come.
