Teacher: a person who teaches, especially in a school. To me, that dictionary definition is an understatement. You alone as a person do so much for me, even if you don’t realize it. You’re so hardworking and passionate about your students and always urge us to do our best; even if we feel we can’t.

Thank you for always telling me you believe in me, especially when I don’t believe in myself. The amount of work you put into me as one student alone, is something I will always take to heart. Rather it was staying after school with me, or understanding that I had stress from other classes too and letting me take a five minute break. Those little things mean so much to me as your student.

I appreciate every time you saw that I was upset or stressed and did everything in your will to ease my mind and bring me some comfort. From letting me vent to you or showing me videos or your dog, because dogs are my favorite. Knowing that I could come to your room anytime gives me comfort and helps me get through a bad day.

Thank you for always telling me “I can’t” is not an option. There were many times I was stressed out with an assignment to the point I was nearly in tears, and you always showed me the way out. Everyday that started with an “I can’t” ended with an “I can” thanks to your support. You’ve always given me confidence with my knowledge, and have helped me learn that no assignment is “too hard.” There is always an answer and a way to work past it.

You’ve changed the way I look at school. Everyday seems to come a little easier to me. Getting to go to your class is the thing I look forward to everyday. Not that I don’t enjoy my other classes or teachers, but something about the way you make learning enjoyable will never be topped. You’ve been my teacher for a few years now, thanks to electives, and next year will be extremely hard knowing that I won’t have you as a teacher anymore.

I’m truly thankful to have a person as amazing as you in my life. Thank you for always believing in me and supporting me. For all the help you’ve given me with school and personal problems. Most importantly, thank you for helping me get by some of the roughest years of my life. I appreciate you so much.
