As I type, this article is due in just a few minutes. Today, my cousin got married. This upcoming week, I have a massive test in a class I need to do well in.
I'm stressed. Big surprised, a college student is stressed out, I know.
I know so many students who are just as, if not somehow more, stressed out as me.
Why wouldn't we be?
Between tests, family events, friend and relationship drama, etc, etc, etc... there's no time to relax without feeling guilty about not feeling "productive enough."
The average college student is stressed... and that's okay.
Being stressed is a valid.
In fact, it's totally normal.
If you're stressed right now, know that its okay to take your time to defeat the stress in your way. Breathe deeply. Take a walk. Calm your mind. Do a mini-meditation. Additionally, please make note that you are not alone and most importantly that whatever you're stressing over is...
Not worth destroying yourself mentally.
You will survive. You have survived all of the moments leading up to this. You have survived the all-nighters studying, the family drama, the relationship stitch. And after these stressful days? I can assure you that plenty of good days followed afterward.
You survived stress and came out the other end to see bliss.
You can do this.
So take another shot of coffee and a deep breath. You can finish that paper, jog the last mile of that marathon, and slay that task once and for all.
As for me, I'm going to do some deep breathing, and remind myself that I have a solid ten minutes until this article is due.
