You're scared, I am too.

Dear rising college senior,

Well, well, well. I am sure that you did not think this moment would come so quickly. But whether or not you want to believe it, you’re almost done with college. So, what are your plans? Are you taking a year off? Have you started looking for jobs? What do you even want to do with that degree of yours? Are you staying at home or moving away? Have you considered grad school?

Trust me. I get it. These questions make me cringe and start giving me heart palpitations every time I think about them. It’s okay if you don’t know exactly what you want to do. But don’t wait too long to figure it out. Embrace everything that comes your way and let it teach you something.

I hope you have enjoyed college's life moments up until this point. Yes, you have had your ups and downs. There were times when you over stressed over that marketing paper or when that idiotic boy never texted you back, but each one of those moments led you to where you are now. The late nights in the library and staying up to 3 a.m. doing God knows what are almost over.

You may not have it all figured it (trust me no one does, and if they seem like they do, they’re not human), but in time everything will fall into place.

As you transition into a senior in college, try to breathe, relax, and be attentive. This is will probably bring back memories of when you were a senior in a high school and it was a bittersweet moment. However, you’re not trying to slay prom and get accepted into your #1 school, you’re trying to become an adult!

I know adulting is scary, and the thought of it makes you nauseous, I am not even the closest person to begin to tell you how to deal with it all. I don’t have all the answers, you don’t have the answers, but I am pretty sure no one has all the answers, so it everything should be fine. No matter how things seem, you’ll learn.

Believe me, I am scared too. I don’t know how this moment came so fast. Yesterday I was a freshman in college, now I am almost a senior. But I will say that I would not change a thing about anything that has led me to this point. I am excited yet terrified, and I’m sure you are too, but at least I know I am not alone in the world where no one knows what’s going on.

Just breathe.

Sincerely,

A rising college senior who is confused too.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
