Hey, You...

I know how you feel, trust me. You feel a little lost, or well, more than a little. You feel like you're being pulled in 20 different directions. You might feel like your suffocating because of all the choices you have to make. You have no idea where you are going, and that terrifies you because when you look around, it seems like everyone else has a handle on their life and knows what they are doing and where they want to end up when you don't even know what you're having for dinner tomorrow night. I know the feeling all too well.

It's not easy trying to find your way. Sometimes, it's because you just don't know what you want or where you want to go. Other times, it's because you know exactly what you want and where you want to go, but everyone is giving you their two cents and no one is bothering to ask what you want. It makes you start to question the path you are on. It makes you start to question your goals, your hopes, and your dreams. I know how that feels, and I know it isn't great.

But, one thing that I have learned is that it is necessary. We all get lost along the way. That's just how it goes. And eventually, we'll always find our way back to the path we are meant to be on. Life is a journey, and it's not an easy one. I'm not going to lie to you and tell you that it is. There will be bridges to cross, and mountains to climb. But you'll overcome all the challenges placed in front of you, and you'll end up right where you belong.

You're smart, but you'll learn that you don't know everything. You are going to have to ask questions. You are going to need some help. That's just how it works.

But I can make you one promise. You will find your way, and you will also find yourself. When you find yourself, you'll know. Finding yourself makes finding your way heck of a lot easier.

There will still be people giving you their two cents. There will still be people hassling you and you might still feel a little lost, but you'll know deep down that you are doing the right thing. You are doing what's best for you, and that is all that matters.

One piece of advice I can give you is to follow your feet wherever they lead you and don't let anyone take you off of your path when you feel deep in your heart that you're on the right one. When you are on it, you'll know.

I know that you feel lost. I know that you're scared. But I also know that you won't always feel that way. One day, maybe soon but probably later, you'll find yourself and you way. You just have to be patient, and you have to trust yourself.

So, keep your head up and keep moving forwards, never back. Don't be afraid to ask for help, but do what you feel is right. Because it is your life, and you need to find your way, not follow someone else's lead.

I wish you the best of luck,

Deann Davidson

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
