An Open Letter To The Person That Displayed Freedom To Me

Thank you to the people that allowed God to work through them enough that I got to experience God through them

First of all, there is more than one person. Freedom takes many different appearances, so it takes many different people to show all its sides. Although there were three or four that mostly shaped my view of it, most of the people I have come into contact with have shown me some form of freedom. God has used SO MANY people to cultivate and allow breakthrough to happen. The biggest thing I can say is Thank you.

Thank you for allowing freedom to take hold of your life in such a radical way so that I could grab ahold of some of it.

Freedom. Freedom is a choice. You allowed me to make that choice, with some slight nudging of course. You showed me how to worship like no one else was around. You showed me how to live with eyes focused on God so the chains of other's thoughts don't have a place. Granted it was God through you, but you allowed him to to use you.

My life now revolves around craving the freedom God has for us. I learned that I am child of freedom. My life was radically changed because you took the time to show me what it looks like to live surrendered. Yes, there were times when I wanted to never talk to you again because your challenge for me was more than I thought I could handle. You were right, and I was wrong. You saw the inner desire for freedom.

Thank you for staring at me until I got up the courage to pray. Thank you for challenging me to worship in new ways. Thank you for challenging me to be open and honest with people. Thank you for making sure I never crawl back into my hole.

Freedom. It is the best feeling. Knowing that God loves you and pulls off all chains. Just you and him. It is an amazing place to try to live in.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
