In life, if we are lucky we get a best friend, one we can count on for anything and one who becomes a part of us. They change the way we see the world and they make us better people. If we are really lucky they become a part of our family and we become part of theirs. They are the family we choose. Ever since I was little my mother would tell me that if I could count my friends on one hand then I was truly lucky. Well in life I was blessed with the best friends that I could ever ask for. These two have quickly become some of the closest people to me and also two of the most important. I may not have known them my whole life but these are the people that I want for the rest of my life. They are the people that I could call in an emergency and would be there in any way that they could, and they are the friends that I can't imagine my life without.
This letter isn't for them, though. This letter is for the mothers of my best friends. There are not enough words to ever show you my gratitude. Because of you, my best friend is in my life. Because of you, they are the amazing person that you raised them into. I cannot imagine my life without them. It has been such a blessing to have them in my life and I love them more than words can ever say. When I imagine my life in five and ten years, I hope they are still in my life and these are the friendships that I wish to keep for the rest of my life. They are the friendships that have made the biggest impact on my life and for the rest of my life, I will forever be changed by them as well as having you in my life. These relationships have changed how I see the world and have helped to shape me into the person I am today. My life has been made better by having them in my life.
In life, we always reflect on the relationships we share with people and the aspects that they possess that cause us to grow closer or farther away from a person. This has become especially true in my own life, and I have really begun to reflect on what really makes my best friends special. Everyone always says that their friends are special but it is usually just to them, the difference is my best friends possess qualities that do truly make them special and are really one of a kind. Having them in my life has helped to make me into a better person. Anyone would be lucky to have them in their life, and I am lucky enough to be one of those people. Because of you, I know that they will have the greatest potential and will accomplish anything that they put their minds to. The sky is the limit for them and because of how you raised them, they will be able to achieve anything that they put their mind to.
Your child is the reason I always have a smile on my face. It doesn't matter what kind of mood I may be in, they always have the ability to cheer me up and make me laugh, even if it is just because of the silliest little things. Over the course of this summer, I have been the happiest I have ever been, especially when I have been in their company. Our little adventures help to bring meaning into life and become the moments I often look forward to the most. It has never been about physical possessions and I have never felt like I had to impress your child. They have always made me feel safe and comfortable while we were together and the little things are what started to become the most important. It is through these friendships that I have also learned more about myself. My best friend has shown me how beautiful life is and the beauty of the people that are in it. Whenever I have lost faith in the kindness of humanity I can look at your child and see that there is still pure goodness in this world. I have never met someone who was more selfless than your child. Everything they do, they do in order to increase the happiness of others. Their personality is something unlike anything I have ever seen before and their positivity is truly contagious. I know for a fact that I will never meet anyone like them again in my life and I wish that there were more people like them because the world would be a better place.
You have done an amazing job. I often feel we do not tell mother's about the great job they are doing, we do not truly comprehend everything they do in order to best take care of their family. They have the hardest job in the world and I promise you, you are rocking it. I know at times when things get hard that you may feel defeated or unsuccessful, but I want you to always look at your child and remember that you have done a great job raising them into the person they are today. You have some of the greatest strength I have ever seen and I often see that same strength in my best friend. That is the strength that will allow them to achieve greatness in life. Life may not always be easy and sometimes you guys may face struggles in life but one thing I have noticed is the strong bond that you guys possess. It is through that bond that I know you will survive anything because you have each other. If you ever wonder if you have done a good enough job of raising them and being a mother, really look at them and realize that you have done more than good enough. You have raised the greatest child you possibly could have. They have become one of the greatest individuals I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. They will do great things in this world and that is all thanks to you.
Thank you also for all you have done for me. You have always treated me as part of your family and over time you guys truly have become part of my family, you are my second family and you always will be. I have always felt welcome when in your company and you always do your best to make sure I am okay. It is in your house that I have always felt safe and always knew that I had you guys to turn to. No matter where our lives may take us and even if they are in opposite directions, there will always be a place in my heart for not just my best friend, but for you, the amazing mother who has raised them.
