To the man who didn't treat me right,
I deserve better than you. I deserve better than the way you treated me and I deserve better than the way you made me feel. The way you treated me wasn't right, I was just too afraid to end things so abruptly. You manipulated me into thinking that staying with you was what I had to do. I resent you for making me feel like crap. I resent you for changing who I was at the time. There was nothing wrong with me and even if there was, it was not your place to step in.
You made me feel smaller than small. You made me worry about saying and doing the right thing all the time. You made me feel the lowest I have ever felt in life. You wasted my time when you had to have known that you weren't the right guy for me. Was it all just a game to you? A game where you changed the rules at a moment's notice and forgot to tell me? I would love to know what was going on in your mind while you treated me so wrongly.
Even though you never treated me right there is one thing that I applaud you for. You taught me exactly what I do not ever want again in relationship. You taught me how not to be treated in life. You pushed me to stand up for myself and I finally found the courage to go find better for myself. You made me realize that I want more out of life. I never want to settle again and I know that there is better out there for me. You inspired me to improve myself and to never treat someone the way you treated me.
I won't forgive you for the way you treated me, but I do feel sorry for you. Hopefully you'll learn sometime soon that you need to change the way you treat women. We are your equals and we should be treated as such. Respect, dignity, and loyalty are things that should always be present in a relationship, and I now know how important this is thanks to you.
Although you didn't treat us right, there are men out there who will. I refuse to lose sleep over you anymore. You are missing out on a great woman and I hope you learn from your mistakes.
Sincerely,
A girl who is better off without you
