An Open Letter To The Man Who Stole My Sister's Heart

First and foremost I want to wish the newlyweds congratulations and welcome to married life. The next fifty years are going to be filled with children climbing into your bed, you two fighting over where to eat, family members giving you advice about everything, working your butts off to give your children the best lives possible, and fights that you think you might not be able to overcome but you can. I know I already said this but forgiveness and communication is the key because as I go through the same journey I'm learning this as well. So this is an open letter to the man who stole my sister's heart (in a good way).

Dear Cody (aka man who stole my sister's heart haha)

You don't really know me and that's not your fault due to a messy divorce way before Meagan knew you but I enjoyed getting to know you this past weekend in Orange Beach. Since you don't know me first let me tell you how I met Meagan. My mom knew her mom so then my mom met her dad and that's how they started dating and got married and before you knew it Meagan and Josh were my brother and sister. There were five us me, Meagan, Josh, Patrick, and Ashlyn. So they will always be my brother and sister because they were a big part of my life. I might have missed some stuff over the past few years but I try my best to be there for the big events.

I'm glad my sister found someone who accepted Colsen. She and I have that in common so love Colsen just as much and give him the best childhood. Seeing those two happy is all we ever wanted and we know that they will make you happy as well. Maybe add another baby in the mix? I'll need a baby to kick the baby fever eventually because I'm done.

I admired the way you were around my sister, her friends, family. You love them so much and it makes me happy because I know that she'll be loved for the rest of her life. I know that she also loves you and your girls by the way she is when she's with them. She treats them as her own and adores them just like everyone else. My husband and I enjoyed their company, by the way; they're so smart and loved holding my baby girl that weekend. They are lucky to have you.

As I watched you two up there promise to love one another for the rest of y'alls life I knew my sister was going to be taken care of and happy for the rest of her life. I knew that she has been waiting for this day for a long time and you could tell when she said "I do" before Greg could get started. Take care of my sister and love her every day just like you did that day on the beach. I wish you two the best and a lifetime of happiness. Oh and lots and lots of babies! Just kidding. Maybe.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
