Hey beautiful,

You’re known as the girl who “feels too much,” but honestly, it’s more of a blessing than a curse. By feeling every little detail of every moment of your life, you learn to appreciate the small things, but you have trouble conquering your emotional side. You’re the person that puts everyone before yourself, even if that means making yourself unhappy. I’m here to tell you that being an emotional person is a rare beauty, and you’re lucky to be in this group of compassionate individuals.

You feel every emotion to the highest degree. Every small misconception hurts, and eventually, each of those moments builds up until your emotions explode... all at once. When you love someone, you love with all of your heart. There's no such thing as hating someone, even if they've repeatedly hurt you. You keep it all to yourself. You forgive but NEVER forget.

People call you sensitive, but you are extremely strong. Emotionally, you deal with more than most people imagine. You rethink every small detail about any/every moment, and then you rethink it three more times. You think about every single word that you've said, and you ask yourself if those words were interpreted incorrectly. Once you've replayed each scenario in your head repeatedly and remember that you can't change the past, you bring yourself to a subtle peace of mind.

You have the capability to love people more effortlessly than most people can. You feel the need to tell your best friends that you love them before you hang up the phone, when you say goodbye, and when you’re their shoulder to lean on. They never have to second guess your feelings toward them, and there's a reason for that. You’re often caught up in feelings of doubt, questioning if you’re loved by those you love. It's just how your brain works. Once again, you overthink everything. Don’t be afraid to tell your people how much they’ve impacted your life, even if they’ve only been around for a short time frame.

You enjoy the good times a little more, but you feel the weight of the hard ones as well. You are easily impacted by even the littlest thing. For example, a small, compassionate gesture could make your whole day in an instant, even when it wasn’t intended to be. But as quick as a blink of an eye, a snarky comment can ruin your week. You’ll replay that moment continuously in your head for a long period of time. It’s very rare that you are capable of brushing it off even when it’s not outwardly noticeable by those around you.

Some may think of you as vulnerable by admitting to this, but in the end, it makes you stronger. You see through others’ artificial love but spot the genuine affection instantly. When you meet someone, you can tell the significant role they will play in your life in that exact moment. You feel the genuineness of their personality radiating towards you and everyone they meet, almost as if it’s a breath of fresh air. Keep those individuals dear to your heart and never let them go, because they’re the diamonds in the rough.

If you could relate to any segment of this article, you’re not alone. You may be one of a kind, but there are countless individuals just like yourself. Never let anyone change the way you act, think, or feel, because what you have is something you’re born with. You were given this gift for a reason. With all of the hate in this world, the endless amounts of love you share are something we need more of.

“And while she never felt quite normal, she was nowhere near crazy. She just loved too much. Choosing to see the world with her heart, instead of her eyes” -Jessica Michelle

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.
