You have been used and abused to the point that you feel completely useless. You are not worthy of love or affection. You are not worth the time and effort anyone would put into a relationship with you. You are not even worthy of the little bit of space you occupy on this earth. You feel completely and utterly worthless.

You are wrong.

You were put on this world for a reason. It was not a mistake that you are exactly where you are right now. You have been hurt and life has not been kind and you may feel shattered, but you are still worth it. You are worth letting someone love you. You are worthy of being happy and content with your life. You are worthy of the effort people put in to be around you.

Do not go looking for your worth in someone else. They don’t have the answers for you. They can’t make you feel whole again. They can’t give you a reason to keep going. It’s all on you. You have to find the reason to get out of bed each morning. You have to figure out why you keep going to work and school and through life’s everyday motions. You are worthy of a future. Of love. Of trust. Of happiness. Just remind yourself that you are you and that is all you need to be.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
