I get it. School is tough. School is overwhelming, boring, time-consuming and just about every adjective in the book. But what if I told you that it doesn't have to be any of those things? What if I told you that school isn't just a place where you get graded on every little thing?

School? Yeah school is a mission field.

With so many people walking around campus, there are so many that are lost. There are people with broken hearts, broken relationships and inaccurate pictures of who a real follower of Jesus is supposed to look like. And this is where you come in. You have the ability to wake up every single morning, and forget about yourself and your grades long enough to love on others.

I understand that you want to have a good GPA. I understand that you have expectations to live up to. I get that you want to graduate, and I get that you want a decent job (and you should want these things) but is passing a test or getting a 4.0 really more important than someone's eternity?

Daily, you are given the opportunity to show others who Jesus is, and how much love he has to offer. You can do this by a smile, by talking to someone, by spending time with people, but you certainly can't do this while stressing about a test.

So, my dear friend, please don't let the enemy get into your mind and let you think that this life is yours. Please don't let the enemy let you think, even for a second, that you should ignore the calling that God has for your life. We are all called to be bold in our faith. So no more worrying about school, but instead focus on others.

I'm not writing all of this to you to tell you that you shouldn't try hard in school. I'm writing this to you to tell you that you will miss so many (more) opportunities if you continue to take for granted the fact that school is a mission field.

Don't let school allow you to forget why you are on Earth in the first place. Don't let school be something that keeps you from accomplishing God's plans for you.

School is a wonderful thing (never did I imagine I would say that to you), and not everyone gets the luxury. We are lucky enough to be able to get an education, so don't dread it. Don't dread going to school because you'll miss the biggest opportunity of all. And that's to tell and show others that they are truly, truly loved by the one who died for them.

I thought senioritis in high school was rough until I became a college senior about to go into the real world. I'm supposed to have everything figured out, right? I mean I went through four years of tough classes and serious self-searching (and crying). What I found overall was Senioritis sneaking up on me.

College is filled with many things, and we're so often lectured to make the right decisions as we head out on our own into the college life. But sometimes it's necessary to indulge in some guilty pleasures as well as just doing things because you can. And honestly, a lot of the time it's inevitable. College is no piece of cake that's for sure, so it's okay to do some things you deep down know you shouldn't....once in a while anyways.
