Words will never be able to express the way I feel about you, because the truth is, words don't do you justice.

To The Boy Who Changed It All For Me,

I don't even know where to begin. Before you, my relationships never seemed to work out and for good reasons. To the point where I had lost all thought and purpose of putting myself out there just to be let down again. I was one of those girls who threw all men into the same negative category, unfairly, and I closed myself off to anyone that wanted to be let in. That is, until the day I met you.

The first moment I laid eyes on you, I knew there was something different about you. You were special. There was this uncommon sense of comfort that overwhelmed me as we spoke our first words to one another. I could tell from that first encounter that you were kindhearted, incredibly intelligent beyond your years, and someone that I desperately wanted to get to know. So from that moment on, I made it my goal to get to know you, all of you, the good and the bad.

What happened next was so much more than I could have ever anticipated. I fell in love. I'm not referring to puppy love or the love of someones company. I fell deeply and madly in love with you. The person that you are, all of the things you have accomplished, and all that you have done to become the best possible version of yourself since I met you. You are by far the biggest blessing that has ever come into my life. You make me see sun when all I want to see is clouds, you make me laugh when all I want to do is cry, and you make me feel like I can do anything I put my mind to even when I don't believe in myself. You make my soul happy. You have since the very day that you walked into my life.

Words will never be able to express the way I feel about you, because the truth is, words don't do you justice. People say perfection doesn't exist, and while everyone has their own little flaws, I hope you know, that in my eyes, you're as perfect as they come. You make me believe there's good people out there. Someone who can unconditionally love you and all of your faults and embrace them, someone who you find joy in sharing incredible experiences with, someone who looks at you like you're the only person on this planet, and someone who will be by your side through thick and thin every step of the way. Essentially, someone who brings out the best possible version of yourself. I found that in you.

I am so beyond thankful that I met you. Thank you for accepting me the way I am, thank you for allowing me to understand there are good people out there, thank you for loving me without question, thank you pushing me to follow my dreams, thank you for being by my side through the good and the bad, thank you for being my best friend, and most importantly, thank you for just being you.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
