Dear everyone who wants to accuse everyone who voted for Trump to be xenophobic, misogynist, nationalist, racist, bigots, hateful etc...

Please stop. Do you not hear your own words? Do you guys do not hear the intolerance? Are you guys blinded at the people who you called a friend and see this hate now? Are they any different? How can you preach tolerance, equality and promoting peace when you can't show it to others? What kind of person has to openly bash someone for their beliefs, choices, views, ethics etc? Is this not the same type of bullying the left swears to stop, to except everyone for who they are? Please stop with all the name calling and shaming. Why is it that a woman who voted for Trump has to be shammed for not voting for Hillary? Is there some deep connection she is missing or is just voting for a woman means you are one. Is that really moral or ethical?

Guys, we are better than this. We understand your right to protest but you have lost all control and let your emotions take over. Is taking to the streets really going to prove anything? Is setting fires, destroying property, etc. really something to be proud of? Guys, come on, please stop and look at yourselves. Let's be honest, most of the stupid, obscene things he has said will not come true. I understand why you are fearful, I get it. To blame others as we are the reason the problem exist or to place the "white people" card is an illogical and irrational argument that it is really not worth anyone's time who wants to get things done.

If you are worried we will be like the Nazi's, we won't be because there was more than just some hate speech and xenophobia going around. The Nazi's came to power by a country that was so poor that their money was worthless and used a barter system to survive. They had no military, they had to pay everyone back for a war they did not start, they were basically left naked and ashamed. This was the foundation for Hitler, not for Trump and not even close to America. This country will never become Nazi's Germany.

You need to understand what happened, the DNC failed you. Bernie was an outsider and they rigged it against him. There will be no crazy threats and changes to the LBGT community, there will be no rounds ups of Muslims. The last time that happened was in 1941 under the direction of a Democrat. People do not want the same thing we had in the first Bush era. People have been hurting. People have lost jobs. People want to have what out grandparents had. To the millennials who took it as a joke, you proved past generations right, it was a joke. To the people who did not, you voted for what you thought was best. There is not a "one size fits all" agenda. People want to feel safe, they want jobs, they want less taxes, they want to be a reason, not a beggar. The past polices and more regulations did not bring this. People really do not care who you date anymore or marry. Some people do, but the progress is not lost at all and it will not be stalled.

Guys, please be rational and not emotional. Stop the name calling, bullying, shaming, disrespecting, acting childish, and irrational behavior. Show us this tolerance, peace and equality you always talk about. Actions speak louder than words but so does how you use those actions.

Just an FYI, in both 2008 and 2012 no one marched and protested Obama, people who lost stayed home, went to work and moved on acting civil...

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
