Dear Taylor,

You have been there through the roughest stages of my life.

You were there through my awkward stage. The stage of “Teardrops On My Guitar”, and “Tim McGraw”. The stage of your life when you weren’t mainstream. You had crazy curly hair just like me, and presented it with confidence.

You were there when I went on my first date. The stage of “Fearless” and “Fifteen”. You taught me that even though I might’ve thought he was everything, he was really just a high school boyfriend. You taught me to be fearless.

You were there the first time I was in love. The stage of “Love story” and “Our Song.” The stage where you showed me that love was magical. You showed me that love exists, and it’s worth falling for.

You were there through my first fight with my first boyfriend. The stage of “Mine.” You showed me that even though people fight, my boyfriend would “never leave me alone” (well, hopefully at least).

You were there through my first break up. The stage of “Forever and Always”, “Picture to Burn”, and “Story Of Us”. The stage of heartbreak. You showed me that I wasn’t alone. You showed me that I was strong, and I would get through it.

You were there through my friend drama. The stage of “Better Than Revenge” and “Mean”. You showed me that I’m not alone. Girls can be mean. You showed me that I can rise above those mean girls and be the better person.

You were there when I realized that time flies by. The stage of “Never Grow Up” and “The Best Day”. You taught me to cherish every moment, no matter how little it may be.

You were there when I made unforgettable memories with my best friends. The stage of “Long Live”. You taught me to work hard and achieve. You taught me to remember the memories forever.

You were there for me always.

You were there for me through long car rides with my best friends. We would blast your music and have the time of our lives singing at the top of our lungs.

You were there for me whenever I needed inspiration. Your lyrics are so smooth, and inspiring that they never fail to make me feel better.

You were there for me always.

And you will be there for me always.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Your #1 fan

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
