Dear Santa Claus,
A lot has changed over the years between you and I. I went through that silly phase where I didn't think you were real (sorry about that, again...), you've had to bring my gifts to different homes, and you've probably lost a little bit of weight because I often forget nowadays to leave you milk and cookies. Yet, no matter the challenge, you've come through for me every single year. I'm so thankful for your jolly spirit, the perfect gifts you've given, and that push you've given me to keep dreaming and imagining.
I know it's important that even when we get older, we still behave. The Naughty or Nice List doesn't stop working once we become adults. So, it's important to me that you know how wonderful I've been. Ignore what my parents and professors may say, I can assure you I've done well. If you have any doubts, know that I haven't murdered anyone nor have I cheated, so I'm the perfect candidate to receive a visit from you this year.
I want a lot of things in life. Each time I see something I like, I say that when I get a real job, I'll save for that, and then this happens once a week and the list becomes quite lengthy. So, in case you are feeling extra generous this year: I want a new car, a fancy camera, brand new computer and accessories, nice and expensive jewelry and clothes, or anything else you think I might like. However, the bill for my goodies under the Christmas tree may rise exponentially, if you stick to that list.
What would make me happy, what would keep me satisfied, are: a good quality night's rest after finals, fun and enjoyable classes next semester, happy faces and lots of love from friends and family throughout the break, and a couple dollars here and there. Gadgets are cool, but none are necessary. Food to eat and rent for my apartment are what I'd benefit from most. Any part of making that happen would be fantastic!
Just so you know, my family has helped you out with this key phrase: "If you don't believe, you don't receive!" Unless you do something that absolutely breaks my heart (which just isn't in your nature), then your spirit will stay with me forever.
Please do give my regards to the elves, Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen, Rudolph, and, of course, the ol' Mrs. Claus!
Merry Christmas!
All my love,
A College Student Believer
