Finding the right words to type is always easier said than done. How do you thank the men and women that put their lives on the line for our country everyday? Let that sink in, they put their lives on the line for us, you and me. Missing holidays, birthdays, graduations and so much more. How do you find the right words to say thank you to the people who risks their lives so you can live yours?

Dear Soldiers,

If you're reading this you are probably confused as to why a random college girl from Kansas State University is writing an article about you, but please don't stop reading. I'm writing to say thank you. Thank you for fighting for us, thank you for traveling around the world to try and end wars that we can't even begin to picture. Thank you for believing that although there is so much evil in our world the good is still worth fighting for. Thank you for being brave and never giving up. I'm also writing to say I'm sorry. I'm sorry for all the things you have had to miss. I'm sorry for the loved ones you have lost. If you are home with your families this fourth of July, enjoy! And for those of you who are not, happy fourth of July from all of us at home- we send love and thank you.

Dear Families,

To the families of troops, you are your own kind of soldier. Wow, I'm writing to thank you, too. Thank you for your bravery. Thank you for supporting your very own troops. To those of you whom have lost someone, I am so sorry, and pray for healing. To the military wives, children, moms and dads, you should know, your strength is truly inspiring to those around you. Thank you.

The Fourth of July is an exciting time for family and friends, and also to remember what it is all about. This Fourth of July, take minute to pray for our troops here with us and those we have lost.

Happy Independence Day!

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
