I graduated this year and I've been so ready to move to college since. I know that college will be way different than the last 4 years of my life.

Remember that everyone there wants friends

I know it can be hard to really "put yourself out there" but at college, you have to. You have to make connections and build relationships with people. These are the relationships that count and that will mean the most to you.

This is your chance to start over

This isn't high school. No one knows you, where you're from, who you're with, and most people don't even know your name. Go out there and be yourself. Enjoy yourself.

Watch your money spending

Get a job and try to keep it. It's ok to treat yourself every once in a while for sure, but keywords: once in a while. Remember you have loans to pay, books to get, gas for your car, etc. Save up money as much as possible now before you leave.

Stay Organized

It's not necessarily your backpack I'm worried about being organized...it's your room. You're a clean person yes, but when you are in a hurry, you just throw stuff in a drawer and then later on when you actually need that ONE item you threw in the drawer, you'll start to have a mini panic attack and think you lost it. So just try to take your time with stuff and keep things in their same spot so you don't lose it.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?

For the average 20-something, life moves pretty fast. You’ve got classes, friends, relationships, jobs, family, and whatever else we overcommit ourselves with. I probably should have learned to say no to adding more to my schedule a long time ago, but instead here are 11 things that can be more helpful than coffee.
