An Open Letter To My Wonderful Parents

Thank you.

Thank you for all of it.

Thank you for everything you've ever done for me; for making sure I always had adventure awaiting me, for instilling the importance of education and kindness into my young mind, for ensuring that I always had the best opportunities in the world, for the love and support you've always given me even when I hit rock bottom... twice. For doing everything you could do to make me the person I am today, for ingraining your values and morals into my head and being amazing role models, for teaching me important lessons in life and letting me learn some on my own, for being the people I look up to and idolize, and for giving me the best life that anyone could ever ask for.

I'm sorry.

I'm sorry for the times where I was unappreciative of all of your giving and kindness and support. I'm sorry for the times where I was rude and difficult. I'm sorry I was sometimes the last person you wanted to deal with. I'm sorry for when I would add onto the stress of your daily lives and for making it worse. I'm sorry for getting into trouble and causing you pain and sadness. I'm sorry that at times I was not growing up to be the girl you had raise and I'm sorry if I had ever made you question your parenting.

I promise.

I promise that from now on I will always make sure you know how much I love you both and how much I appreciate every opportunity you continue to give to me. I promise I will make all of your time, money, and effort spent on me worthwhile and I will do great things... I will do great things to make you proud and I will always strive to make you both happy with my choices and happy of the life I am making for myself. I promise that you will never see me at my lowest point again.

I wouldn't be the person I am today without you both constantly being the most amazing people in my life. I will never be able to thank you enough or ever be able to describe how perfect my life has been. Mom and dad, you've both gone above and beyond what a parent should do and you continue to do that daily. I hope you're proud of yourselves for the things you've done for me because things in my life could never have been better. I am thankful for you both every single day and I miss you both more than anything. You're my best friends and my favorite people in the world. I look forward to seeing you soon and as always, I love you.

Always,

Lauren

If I have learned one thing in my lifetime, it is that friends are a privilege. No one is required to give you their company and yet there is some sort of shared connection that keeps you together. And from that friendship, you may even find yourself lucky enough to have a few more friends, thus forming a group. Here are just a few signs that prove your current friend group is the ultimate friend group.

When it comes to television, there’s very few sets of on-screen siblings that a lot of us can relate to. Only those who have grown up with siblings knows what it feels like to fight, prank, and love a sibling. Ross and Monica Geller were definitely overbearing and overshared some things through the series of "Friends," but they captured perfectly what real siblings feel in real life. Some of their antics were funny, some were a little weird but all of them are completely relatable to brothers and sisters everywhere.

College is a great place to meet people, especially through Greek life. If you look closely at sororities, you'll quickly see there are many different types of girls you will meet.

1. The Legacy.

Her sister was a member, her mom was a member, all of her aunts were members, and her grandma was a member. She has been waiting her whole life to wear these letters and cried hysterically on bid day. Although she can act entitled at times, you can bet she is one of the most enthusiastic sisters.

Every kid in college and/or high school dreams of summer the moment they walk through the door on the first day back in September. It becomes harder and harder to focus in classes and while doing assignments as the days get closer. The winter has been lagging, the days are short and dark, and no one is quite themselves due to lack of energy and sunlight. Let's face it: life is ten times better in the summertime.
