Growing up as a child whose siblings were eight, and ten years older than me, having friends my age was extremely important to me, seeing as I didn't really have someone to hangout with around the house. As I grew up, I engaged in sports, and began dancing, and in that, I met the single most important person in my life to date. I met my best friend, and unknowingly met my new second family. As a kid, you meet tons of people that will either become your lifelong friends, or just be passing through. For me, I met someone that completed the other half of me. Someone who, through it all, has been there no matter what the problem was big or small. Someone who, became the second sister I always wanted. So in writing this, best friend, I would like to thank you.
Thank you for the never ending support.
No matter the hour, you'd answer my crying phone call, even if I was waking you up and you needed to be up extremely early for school. You are always there for the tears, and the triumphs. It doesn't matter what the feat in life may be, good or bad, as you are the smiling face in the crowd, or the hand squeezing mine back, or the shoulder I'm crying on.
Thank you for the ugly laughs.
Whether it is some silly video we found on the internet, or one of us tripped and fell on our faces, you are always the one there to see me ugly laugh. Most of the time you're causing it, but we all know the type of laugh I'm talking about, when you laugh so hard your eyes tear up, and you can't even make a sound. I can always count on you for being there to experience it with me.
Thank you for the sleepless sleepovers.
Thanks for sitting up til 2 AM watching movies, or binge watching the first seasons of Dance Moms, eating cookie dough with me. And thanks for listening to me complain the whole next day about how exhausted I am. Thank you for letting me steal all the blankets on the bed, and letting me kick you all night,
Thank you for the unforgettable memories.
There will never be a day that I won't remember the countless memories we've made together in our friendship. I will never stop laughing over the stupid little things we find funny, and I will never stop reliving all of the moments we have had together. Whether its the big or the little things, I will always cherish and appreciate them. Thank you for being there for me when no one else is, for being my go-to, my other half, my best friend, and my unbiological sister. I love you more than you will ever understand!
