Hello, gorgeous.

We've had some good times together, haven't we? From the time I took you off the rack when you were all new and plastic-feeling to now, water damaged and perfectly molded to my feet, you were there for me. It took a whole summer of dedicated wear to get you perfect, but it was so worth it. Now it's time for another beach trip and I can't wait to see what we'll get into next.

You are truly the unsung hero of my life. Without you, I'd be stuck wearing either stiff sandals or sweaty sneakers, and we both know how that can ruin a fun trip to the beach. With you on my feet, I can go to the beach, a restaurant, class or the park. You're an all-purpose shoe, and I'm sorry you don't get more recognition for the godsend that you are.

It's going to be a struggle to realize I've broken you in too much. I hope you last another summer, and I promise to try to take care of you as best I can. But no sense worrying about that now, it's off to the beach! Just please don't trip me if I decide to run on the sand.

I thought senioritis in high school was rough until I became a college senior about to go into the real world. I'm supposed to have everything figured out, right? I mean I went through four years of tough classes and serious self-searching (and crying). What I found overall was Senioritis sneaking up on me.

It takes a little while to get used to not seeing your high school best friends every day. Going away to college causes a lot of changes, but one thing that will never change is my love for my high school BFFs, and the texts that I get from them. College is filled with many things, and we're so often lectured to make the right decisions as we head out on our own into the college life. But sometimes it's necessary to indulge in some guilty pleasures as well as just doing things because you can. And honestly, a lot of the time it's inevitable. College is no piece of cake that's for sure, so it's okay to do some things you deep down know you shouldn't....once in a while anyways.
