To my nephew:

I feel like just yesterday I found out I was going to be an aunt, and I have only become more and more excited as time has gone on. You will be born any day now, and I wanted to write something to express how much love I already have for you.

It has been so amazing to see you grow bigger and bigger while your mommy has carried you. It seems like I just got to hear your heartbeat for the first time and we found out you were a boy. I have been so excited to feel you kick or feel you get the hiccups. I love talking to you inside your mommy's belly, even though you never kick for my voice. Also, I must admit I have played the "Park's and Rec" theme song for you probably more than I should have, and it is on record that you kicked for it. It has been the coolest things to watch a human grow. I'm so ready for you to be born, and I'm probably more impatient than your mom.

I promise to always be there for you and be the best aunt I can be. I'm going back to school soon, but I promise to always come home and see you and always make time for you. Your Aunt Ashley and I are constantly making plans and talking about all the stuff we want to do with you. I cannot wait to take you on adventures, spoil you rotten and make amazing memories together. I have so many things I want to teach you and do with you. I hope you always feel how much your aunts love you.

I cannot wait to see what kind of person you will become. I cannot wait to see what sports you will play, if you will do band like your aunts did or what all you will be interested in. So far, you are a very rowdy boy and it is so cool to see or feel you kick. I cannot wait to see how you will be once you are born.

I hope you always know how loved you are. I already think you are the most perfect baby, and there will never be a time I will not love you. Even as you grow older, I hope you know how much I love you, and I promise I will always be there for you. Whenever your mom gets annoying, your aunts will always be here.

Love,

Aunt Taylor

I'm sure, like me, many of you received lots of gift cards over the holidays. After working retail seasonally, here are a few tips that I learned in order to make the employees at your favorite store just a little happier and not want to charge you extra on your purchase for being awful. Here are some times when you should be nicer to retail workers than you actually are!

5 Untold Struggles Of The Short Friend

I'm the Short Friend. I've been the Short Friend since about the seventh grade. I'm the one who stands in the front of the photos, gets made fun of for their height, and still shops in the kids department.

This article is not for the Almost Short Friends, i.e. the 5'3" and 5'4" Friends. No no, this is for the Actually Short Friends, i.e. the Barely Scraping 5'1" and shorter Short Friends.

11 Things All Call Center Workers Can Empathize With Better Than Anyone
Youtube

This semester I started my journey as a member of my University's Alumni Outreach Team. This means a lot of things, but primarily it means that I get to make phone calls to parents and alumni two nights a week to update contact information, collect things like business cards and volunteer hours, and even ask for money.
