Dearest Companion,

First of all, I want you to know that I love, appreciate, and miss you enormously. It’s been weeks since I’ve seen you, touched you, felt your kisses. I won’t be there with you in person this year, and that fact in itself makes my heart sink. I know this holiday is special for us, and I can’t imagine not being with you, but nonetheless, I need you to know everything I would have had planned if we were to be together on February 14th.

First and foremost, I would let you kiss me all over, even on the lips if you so desire. I would usually stop you from doing so under normal circumstances. Then again, we are never together under normal circumstances anymore. Although your excessive kissing grosses me out, I know it’s your favorite and most obvious way of showing affection, especially when that affection has been bottled up for so long.

After that, I would reciprocate your passion by stroking you tenderly on the stomach and behind the ears, your biggest weaknesses. I can tell I hit the spot when your tongue falls out of your mouth and leg trembles ferociously. The mere fact that I’m able to please you brings me an indescribable joy.

Seeing that being active together seems to be our most enjoyable past time, a game of catch would obviously take up a good chunk of our time. You’ve always been the more athletic one, so you’re always chasing after my bad throws, but you never seem to mind. In fact, I think the more you run, the happier you are; just another way I am able to fulfill your needs.

I’ve always been able to tell when you’ve reached your limits physically, so this would be the perfect time for a long, relaxing nap followed by cuddling and maybe a few snacks. Knowing I was going to see you, I obviously would have bought your favorites beforehand, peanut butter and bacon.

Lastly, a walk together would be the perfect way to end our day of absolute bliss. Whether it be in the park, through the neighborhood, or to and from the mailbox, our walks are always romantic and fulfilling as you lead the way while making sure not to pull or stray.

Although we won’t be together on Valentine’s Day, I want to thank you for everything you’ve done for me in the past. Your undying love and support has done more for me than you will ever know, and I miss seeing your handsome eyes, wet nose, and luscious locks every day. I’m sorry I left, and I’m even more sorry that you can’t quite understand why I had to go, but know that I think about you every day.

Above all, thank you for being the best pup a girl could ask for.

All My Love,

Your Best Friend

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
