An open letter to my boyfriend.. 4/10/17.

Dear J,

At this very moment in time, I am the most infatuated with you I have ever been, but I know this is so miniscule compared to how I will feel for you as time goes on. As we progress in our relationship and as the days fly by, I fall more and more for you every day. You show me how to make light out of serious situations, you make me laugh at the most stupid stuff, you introduce me to new music and art.

You make me believe in the good things coming and you make me want to live until I’m 90 and all of our present-day experiences will just be fond memories by then. You show me how to trust again, you show me how to love again. You prove to me every day that you care about me and that your intentions are pure. You’ve got a heart of gold and the most beautiful soul I’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing.

I’m not one to be sappy and cheesy where I know the whole wide world can see it, but you make me want to try new things and get out of my comfort zone.

You push my limits in the best way, but you’re so understanding and respectful of my limits and boundaries. You show me new places and new food, heck, one day I may even try actual sushi.

You make me feel beautiful even when I know I look like a total egg. You tell me how beautiful I am multiple times a day, and I can’t thank you enough for that. I don’t feel the need to put my past on blast for everyone to see, but you know it and I hope you realize how much I appreciate you and everything you do and say.

I could talk about you forever and write a million words describing how I feel about you, but I think it would be too long for anyone to ever be able to read.

Like I told you awhile ago.. how I feel for you is what hopeless romantics always try to write about but they can never find the right words.

Thank you for everything you do every single day, thank you for being you, thank you for existing.

Thank you for being mine, J.

Us against the world, f&e.

- A

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

Because we made it, and because high school seniors deserve to know what they're getting themselves into

too tired to care

We've all been there. From move-in day to the first finals week in college, your first term is an adventure from start to finish. In honor of college decisions coming out recently, I want to recap some of the most common experiences college freshmen experience.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!
