Dear Scottie,

I still remember when mom was pregnant with you. Oh how I wanted a little sister. I heard they suck, so thanks for being a boy. When mom and dad told me I was getting a little brother I remember being so excited to have someone to play with. I wanted them to name you Chuckie, after Chuckie Finster from the Rugrats. They didn't like my recommendation, clearly. I remember the day dad took me to the hospital to come meet you. You were so tiny, like one of my dolls at home. I couldn't wait for you to come home.

And that's when my whole life shifted. I wasn't the only kid anymore. I wasn't getting the attention anymore, everyone wanted to see you. You were the cute baby and I was just your big sister at this point. I remember being so jealous of you, tried to figure out ways to get rid of you. Maybe have mom leave you at the park. But as you grew older I realized I had a friend. Someone to play with all the time. Even if I had to force you to play Barbies with me, I still had a friend.

You're a junior now, it's crazy. My little brother is getting his license soon. You're growing up so fast and soon I'm gonna be dropping you off at college with mom and dad. All I have to say is, Scottie I am so proud of you. it must of been hard growing up behind my foot steps, although you didn't have much to compete with. I don't know how it feels to be the younger sibling, I can imagine people giving you looks at school, or underestimating you with the negative reputation I left you with. But you proved us all wrong.

About a week or two ago mom and dad took you to go visit Fordham University. It's a good school and I'm so happy you've held it all together to even be able to think about applying. I hope you do, and I hope you get in. But at the same time I hope you don't. Sending my little brother off to college. What a scary thought. All I have to say is, don't give into the temptations! You've been doing it all so well.

As your high school journey is slowing coming to an end. I just wanna say; stick it out. keep it up, and don't let senioritis get the best of you because you have some great memories soon to be made. Keep making us all proud and stop growing up so fast!

Love,

Your biggest pain in the ass and number one fan.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
