An Open Letter To My Freshman Year Self

Three short years ago I was thinking about getting out of the house and getting onto a college campus. I never thought my time at school was going to come to an end so soon. During those three years, I made memories and mistakes. I don't want to go back and change anything, but I would love to feel a couple moments again. This is for you freshman self, I'm here, as a senior, to tell you everything is going to work out.

You're not going to be friends with the people you meet the first weekend of freshman year, it's OK. But if you are still friends with the same people, you've got something really great, don't ruin it.

There will be at least one person that deserves an apology from you. Do not, I repeat, do not graduate without giving it to them. Write a letter, write a really long text, talk to them drunk at Toad's, grab a coffee. Don't leave the wounds open.

You don't have to do what everyone else is doing. Like Mom always said, "Would you walk off the edge of a cliff if everyone else was doing it?" The correct answer is no, but you probably want to because it looks fun.

You're going to get your heart broken, and you're going to end toxic friendships. These are the best things that will happen to you. You don't need someone to hold you back

Be a nerd and study. It's not attractive receiving a 67 percent on the mid-term. Life is so easy when you don't have to cram.

You're going to meet a lot of very beautiful people. Don't be intimidated. One day you will open your eyes and realize how amazing you are on the inside and out.

You're probably going to change your major more than once. Figure out what you want to do and where your passions lie. Don't study something you don't have an interest in.

Don't listen to the haters that say you're not going to have a job. Make them your motivators. Prove to them you can make money by creating balloon animals for a living.

So cheers to you. You made it through more than half of your college career. Don't sweat the small stuff, drink a lot of water and love yourself.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
