An Open Letter To My Fitbit

They say friends come in all shapes and sizes, and it is better to count all your friends on one hand, and well, my best friend is on my left wrist, so I think that means I have a pretty great friend.

Dear Fitbit,

You sit on my left wrist every single day, all hours of the day, and no matter what I am doing, you are there for me. I don't do much for you, except walk and you count my steps, but I think we have a pretty great friendship going on.

I know I can trust you, and you will never leave me. That is, until I took you off to charge one night and left for class the next morning with the bracelet on my wrist, but your battery on the charger. After that, I promised I would not leave you again, and ever since you have been write by my side.

Other than your caring and loyal personality, I love how adventurous you are. You are always ready for what I want to do next, and you never complain. I can take you swimming, I can take you hiking, and I can even take you out to formal or a date night. You never cease to want to try something new, and I love that you are always along for the ride.

Another thing I love about you is that you are very motivating. You encourage me to move more, and hit the gym every day, something I have a hard time motivating myself to do. I know that by the time I go to sleep at night, if I don't have 5 flashing dots, I disappointed you and myself. You have helped me fulfill my new years resolution every single day this year, and that is something I never thought would actually happen. Thank you for the motivation. You can always catch me doing a happy dance when you vibrate and tell me I have reached my step goal for the day.

Thank you for always being there for me and motivating me to be more active. True friends are those that help you be the best you and are always loyal no matter what. Thank you for giving me a second chance the first time I forgot you, and always know that I will keep you fully charged so we can go on more adventures.

Oh fitbit, no matter what color you are today or tomorrow, I know I can count on you. Thank you again as if I haven't said it before.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

too tired to care

We've all been there. From move-in day to the first finals week in college, your first term is an adventure from start to finish. In honor of college decisions coming out recently, I want to recap some of the most common experiences college freshmen experience.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!

Dear High School Friend Group,

My sweet angels, where would I be without you guys. We all grew up together because we either met in middle school or high school and watched each other grow up and get "old." We got to go to prom together and then graduate together. Then watched each other as we continued our lives in college, joining sororities and meeting people who will impact our lives forever. It all has happened so fast.
