An Open Letter To My College Friends As We Part

Dear Homies,

This farewell is about as hard as when Jack said goodbye to Rose in "Titanic." I realize that most of us have already said our goodbyes, but I can't help but confess how lonely my life is without having you two minutes away and how much I miss you all already.

Although you are just about the craziest, wildest and best people I have had the privilege to know, all of you have helped me make this first year of college the best yet. You have made me laugh day in and day out, been there for me when I need a helping hand, been able to keep me sane during finals, loved me for who I am and made every day a great one.

We have gotten so close throughout the year and I am so grateful for you and your crazy selves. Even though we have friends we are now able to reunite with from home, I can't help but say please don't forget about me!

Now I understand that almost four months apart will be a very, VERY long time not seeing my beautiful face, considering we saw each other at least once a day for the past three months. But don't worry, our Snapchat streak will be on FIRE by the time we reunite and I'll be showing up at your door regularly just like semester is still in session.

Regardless of where we are or how far apart we may be, just know that I am so excited for our reunion (even though we just said goodbye). I can't begin to explain how heartbreaking it will be when I need your help with homework, need to make some coffee, need to use your vacuum, have you help me pick out my outfit or meet me for breakfast knowing you are now so far way. I will miss our lunch, study, ice cream, gym and every other date. I mean, I know you will have other people to have dates with at home, but just know that a piece of me will be missing you when I need a date to the mall.

Although missing you is heartbreaking, the struggle becomes real when I want to tell my high school friends about all the crazy things we have done this semester. They don't understand the irony or the love behind our friendship because they don't even know you like I do! (Yes, I love to brag about you.)

The most amazing part about leaving college for the summer is knowing that our reunion will be the best thing ever. So many plans and so many laughs that we get to catch up on. No, I don't want this summer to fly by, but knowing that I get to reunite with some of the best people will make going back to school that much better.

I hope you all have a fantastic summer and don't miss me too much. Only kidding. But in all seriousness, I love you and I'll FaceTime you in a minute.

I miss you already,

Me

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

The holiday season is full of stress, debt, and forced conversation. While we rush through the month of December, it's important to take a step back and enjoy the moments before they're gone. Most families love to watch Christmas movies, but these beloved films provide more than entertainment. Here are 10 life lessons that I've learned from the holiday classics we watch every year.

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
