An Open Letter To My Busy Big

Although we don't hang out very often, I still love you!

An Open Letter To My Busy Big

Dear Biggy,

I remember when I first met you. You asked me out for ice cream and I was super excited that an older member was reaching out to me. When I first met you, the first thing that came into my mind was wow, she is so sweet. Then when I got you as a Big I had so many emotions running through my head: excitement, happiness, surprised, shocked, and I couldn’t think that I could possibly get someone as great as you. I knew right away that we would have so many great times and memories together.

Although you are a super busy senior and we had a short time together, I just wanted to say I’m so proud of you. I’m so proud that you have accomplished so much in your college career and that you will go far in your future. I know you’re super busy with your school work, student teaching and sorority but being busy does not mean I still don’t love you. We don’t hang out as often because you’re always running around (probably stressing out but loving every minute of it) but I totally understand.

You have no idea how much I look up to you. I hope in a couple of years I can be fulfilled and do what I love, like you. I hope when you get your gbaby that she will not only have me to look up too but also you. You motivate me to be a better person. You have such a kind heart and soul. You are caring, passionate, sweet, funny, and just an outstanding person. I love you so much.

I wish we could have gotten a chance to get to know each other a little better. Every time we hang out, I honestly see myself in you. I see myself when you laugh or squeak at something funny. The way we both have gone through similar situations. Or the way we are shy at first and then open up to the people we are closest too. Maybe that’s why fate brought us together. I hope we keep in touch and become even closer throughout the years even though that may be tough. I love you. And I will always and forever be your Little.

Love,

Your Little

Sorority

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
