To my big, crazy family,
I'm sure...actually positive that I'll get roasted or made fun of and I'm sure I'll get some hugs and a few nice comments for writing this corny article. But in all honestly I LOVE my family. I am forever thankful for the big family vacations, birthday parties, Sunday dinners, and summer nights. I am forever thankful for all the love and support that is given to me whenever it is needed most. I am forever thankful for the endless roast sessions and ego boosts. However, overall I am forever thankful for all of you.
I am lucky enough to be in a family with over 20 crazy aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents. Each one has impacted me in a way that I can truly say has made into the woman I am today. Each one of us have been through rough times and bad days, but we always stick together and put family above everything else, which has taught me so many important life lessons. It has taught me how to prioritize my time, to learn how to love, to forgive and forget, to apologize, to laugh, to cry, to care, and most importantly to live.
Family means the world to me and I am so grateful I get to have a family like all of you. I wouldn't want to watch Christmas Vacation every Thanksgiving, or take crazy group selfies during every family dinner, or dye eggs and eat half of them, or make anything and everything a competition, or make gingerbread houses and get angry when they fall apart with anyone else. These are memories I'll always cherish and always get to keep.
Being away at college has made me appreciate how much I am loved and how much my big, crazy family truly means to me. Being away has been tough, but it makes going home a million times better. So thank you for driving me crazy, making me laugh, celebrating the good times, and dealing with the bad.
I love you all a bushel and a peck...and a hug around the neck.
