Dear Midterms,
I hate you. You stress me out. You actually make me sick, but you come at the best time in the semester. In the fall, I get two days off to veg out at home on my couch. In the spring, I get to go home for a week and cuddle with my dog.
I say this in hindsight, of course. I'm in the midst of midterms right now, complete with the stress, sore throat, headache, and fatigue that come to me alongside the most important exams in the semesters. All I want to do is sleep, all the time, but I always have something I have to do or should be doing.
I had a midterm this past week and another next week, and it's slowly killing me. On top of the exams, are the regular assignments and readings for other classes. And then there's trying to have some semblance of a social life. Midterms, you make this very difficult.
Honestly, Midterms, I hate you. But I also love you because you allow me the opportunity to prove what I know because I get up and go to class and take notes and pay attention. Midterms, you test my knowledge, skill, and patience. So I will deal with you, I will conquer you, I will ace you. And then I will go on to complain about finals and you again next semester.
See you next week, midterm.
Sincerely,
An Extremely Exhausted College Student
