Why my self-confidence has risen

To all of you sticking to your New Year's resolution to lose weight, I am with you.

I didn't make it my New Year's resolution, but I did promise myself and I've been keeping that promise.

I have been on and off diet plans for years because honestly I just couldn't do it, but the difference between now and then, is that now...I have a motivation.

It's going to be hard. It's going to be tough. You're going to be mad. You're going to want to make yourself throw up, but I just want you to know...it will get better and the weight will be gone.

I workout 6 days a week and up to 2 hours or more. I'm also taking 21 credit hours in school and an internship. I still manage to get 7-9 hours almost every night and get my homework done. (don't even try to think how the schedule works because it's not even that much when you look at it since two are online, two are the two internship classes required for my degree and three classroom courses. Trust me, I have an easy schedule.) I got a jump start during my winter break and I'm keeping that momentum going. If I can take on all of this, you can get 30 minutes of exercise in a day.

It's nice that there's a Planet Fitness by my school, so when my Thursday class end at 6pm, I can head right over there. I usually go to my regular Planet Fitness before my Wednesday Night class because it helps me stay awake and not crash from the long day.

My only problem is...my food intake. My FitBit has me taking in 1600 a day, I'm lucky to even get in 1000 a day. I just have that mindset that food is the enemy and I honestly just don't want to eat. Plus a lot of foods make me nauseous, so that keeps me away as well. I'm not starving myself because I do eat and I eat a shit ton on chicken.

It's skinless and boneless and high in protein. I also drink a lot of water. I usually drink more water than I eat food, so I guess it's a filler.

I take 60,000 + steps weekly and I feel great.

I honestly think this all started after I did this Tapout Fitness workout with some of the women on WWE's roster (if you watch Total Divas on E!, this was filmed for it!) and I've been a lot happier since that because that just gave me the motivation. Something just clicked and said to keep going.

As of 2/18/2017, I am 40 pounds lighter than I was since school started and I honestly owe it to those women who led that for all their help (as well as The Bella Twins, Charlotte Flair, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns...but they weren't there for that workout)

I can't wait to see how the rest of this year is going to progress because, honestly, we're all going to be shook

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
