Thank you for raising him to the become the man he is today. Your patience, love, and understanding are what aided in shaping him into the man that I love so dearly today. So thank you, for him, and thank you for loving me as a member of the family myself. I, personally, am not used to this kind of acceptance. I'm weird, kind of goofy, and not many people understand me, so thank you.

When the day came that I finally got to meet you both, I had never felt more welcome and accepted before in my life. You are both two of the kindest, most hard-working people I have ever met. Instantly then I saw where he got it. His sense of humor, his love of God, and every single living thing on this Earth. The love that you both hold for him makes my heart melt, and the love that he returns makes me proud to know and love him.

Thank you for instilling such an impeccable sense of right and wrong within him, unlike most people he has an amazing sense of right and wrong. He is the most intelligent person I've ever met and I know it's because of the both of you combined. I know that because he is so loving and forgiving that he has been taken advantage of by others in the past, but that is not my purpose. My mission is to love your son to the best and fullest of my ability and grow to love him more and more every single day.

Thank you for giving him such an amazing childhood, full of laughter and fond memories. I never get tired of hearing those stories. From him and his sister waking up on Christmas morning, to the wild pranks that almost got him in serious trouble. Even during the hardest times, I know you both tried your very hardest to give him everything he had ever wanted. And for that, I know he considers himself a lucky man.

There are a hundred, no, a million more things that I could say, but in short, thank you. Thank you for him, and thank you for allowing me to not only love him, but to become a part of your amazing family myself. Thank you for the amazing opportunity to love your son and grow with him, he is already the most amazing man that I have ever met, but I cannot wait to see what the years have in store for us both. Thank you for being the best family to the best man that I have ever met.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
