Daycare. For some strange reason, lots of parents honestly dread having to enroll their kids. The word sometimes has a negative connotation, but it really shouldn't.

You walk in every morning to drop off your pride and joy. You would much rather snuggle with them all day than go to work, but you gotta do what you gotta do, right?

The walls of that daycare are held together by love. Your children are so important to us. We make sure every mouth gets fed, every diaper gets changed, and every boo boo gets kissed. Their safety is as important to us as it is to you. We love and care for them like they're our own. We do our best to make our classrooms warm and inviting. They might not be at home but hopefully they're at the next best thing. We go outside as often as possible because we know how important fresh air and the opportunity to release energy is for children. We do lots of cute projects so you have plenty of things to take home and put up on the fridge. If your children look forward to school every single morning, we know we're doing something right.

We really do love our jobs. It's nice to have a job you actually look forward to waking up for every morning. Spending time with your children is a job that always brings happiness and laughter to our lives. Children really do have an innocence about them that can change a tough day into a great one. We'll never have the ability to fill your shoes, but I promise you we always try to be the next best thing while you're away.

Our jobs aren't always easy but they truly are worth it. We're always so proud of every accomplishment your children make. We can't help but get excited when they reach a new milestone. Walking, talking, feeding themselves, writing their name. We love to come up with activities that they enjoy doing. Seeing their faces light up while they're having fun at school is an amazing feeling. Helping them grow and develop is one of the most rewarding things out there.

Thank you for entrusting us with your children every single day. Thank you for all the words of encouragement of how great of a job we are doing. They honestly mean more to us than you know. Thank you for being great parents because you make our jobs so much easier.

Being a teacher is probably the best job in the entire world. We are forever thankful for having the opportunity to spend our days with your children each and every day. Our daycare center really isn't just a place to leave your children while you're at work; we are all one big extended family.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
