Where do I begin? I guess I’ll start by saying that Shrek is probably the most versatile and inspiring actor out there. From ogre, to human, to American hero, Shrek never fails to put a smile on our faces!
Shrek’s career began with his world-renowned, self titled movie "Shrek." From the moment the movie started, I knew that I would be a life-long fan. I will never forget watching Shrek proudly march around his swamp to Smash Mouth’s “All Star;” he didn’t have a care in the world!
As his unique and unorthodox fairy tale unfolded, Shrek introduced us to some amazing characters such as Donkey, Lord Farquaad and of course, Fiona. Let’s just say that when Shrek saw Fiona’s face he became a believer.
Throughout his journey, Shrek made us laugh, grimace, scream and even cry. The "Shrek" series came to a close with the dramatic and satisfying "Shrek Forever After." Although the movie was amazing, no one was ready for this life-changing tetralogy to end. We were devastated, but we all knew that we would be seeing more of Shrek. His reappearance was slightly unexpected; he starred in a short film called “Shrek is Love, Shrek is Life." Now, I definitely would not recommend this abstract psychodrama to those who are under-aged or sensitive to explicit content. That being said, Shrek successfully played an extremely dark and serious role, without breaking character once; how impressive!
Screen acting is not Shrek’s only talent. He possesses an unbelievable amount of skill. For starters, he plays the saxophone.
He skateboards like a pro.
He can walk through walls.
He is also an amazing dancer.
He starred in his own Broadway musical.
His taste in music is on point.
And even though he knows that he's far superior to his other celebrity friends, they still love him.
So Shrek, wherever you are, we all hope that you continue on your path to world domination and keep doing you! Even though we are all "Accidentally In Love" with you, we wouldn't have it any other way.
